Seeking a New Horizon

Looking to the horizon, seeking a new destination
Not looking back or focusing on what has been before
That moment has passed, but it has taught us well

With each step let go of the old
Whilst things become more uncertain
Let the imagination grow and grasp the unknown

We can live in fear of what lies ahead and
We can spend time pleasing others and forgetting our own happiness
But remember it is not selfish to fulfil our own destiny

Be brave, explore your own horizon
Life is short so make every moment count!

Un week-end de gâteau

So another birthday passes but there is always time for cake and a little prosecco. Whilst I embark on a weekend of fending off the extra calories I carry this thought;

” You gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening and live like it’s Heaven on Earth!”

A smile

Some years ago I was fortuanate to sing in a choir ‘Track 29’with a wonderful group of women and I have many happy memories. Whilst I was thinking about what to write today I came across this poem which I first heard at a concert we gave in our local town.

It always makes me smile so perhaps today we can start an epidemic ……………………….

A smile

Smiling is infectious,
You catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner,
And someone saw my grin,
When he smiled I realized,
I’d passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile,
Then realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine,
Could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin,
Don’t leave it undetected.
Let’s start an epidemic quick,
And get the world infected.
